![]() ![]() With each of the offers of the free "Aurora HDR 2018" and "Luminar 4", Skylum sent me an email with a download link and an activation code. Does it have to be registered with Skylum? (Similar to Topaz products.) I don't know what happens when a license code is submitted. I was able to install and run it in demo mode. I don't have a license code for use with it. I had no trouble downloading Luminar 4 from the provided link. I've been following this thread, even though it isn't relevant to me. Of course, I'll let you know about their reply. Haven't heard from them yet, but hope my email doesn't screw things up. Can't thank you enough!īTW, the only "maybe" problem is that earlier today I emailed Skylum stating my sad tail and asking them if I could get my activation code back. And, lo and behold, I hit the jackpot and was able to dl L4. Well, this jiggled my 84 year old brain to think that I may have initially registered with my Google account.so, I tried that. When I put in my email address to start registration, I was given several choices to sign in through: Google, Facebook, etc. As I didn't have Skylum (Luminar) on my password manager, I figured (as you suggested) that I should try registering with them. Hey 2ndTA, it's time to buy a lottery ticket as "good luck" has arrived. On checking my records, I set up my Skylum account after receiving my free version of Aurora HDR 2018, and the code for it is available to me in my account. One last thing if you set up an account with Skylum now, using the same email address you used to get your free Luminar 4, I think your code will appear there. Thanks for sticking with me on this issue, but I fear I won't be able to retrieve L4 as I can't retrieve its activation code (don't think I ever registered.) Although, as a last ditch effort, I emailed Skylum to see if they are willing to give me my original code. ![]() Sorry, I have no Adobe products, so I can't help with plugins. When I requested my free Luminar 4, Skylum emailed me the download link along with the activation key. However, I see that one has to use a workaround to install AI as a plugin ( ) and was wondering if you could comment on whether there are any problems associated with the plugin process or AI's functionality after such a plugin process? Thanks. I would use AI as a plugin to my Photoshop Elements 18 to replace the lost L4. Just for the hell of it, I clicked on Buy Now, and up came a screen to buy Luminar AI for $47 or Neo for $99 (L4 has been discontinued for a while.) As I am just a hobbyist (also using Photolab 5 Elite,) AI at this price appeals to me more that Neo. And, that serial number was only available when one bought the program. However, as you expected, I did need a serial number to get the program up and running. ![]() You will need the serial number they sent you, of course. If you didn't keep a copy of the installer, you should be able to get it here: So, is what I'm trying possible? If it is, what am I doing wrong? If this kind of transfer is not possible, is there another way to get the free L4 back onto the desktop? Thanks. I've tried to copy L4's folder on the laptop and paste it into the desktop, but have been getting a "can't find pathway" error message on the desktop. I have Logitech's Options+ on both computers and use it to transfer stuff between the two. I had the free version of Luminar 4 on both my desktop PC and my laptop PC and of course after screwing around with the version on my PC, it got corrupted and no longer works. ![]()
